Kotak Mahindra Bank has updated the Kotak 811 mobile banking app with the latest Fingerprint Authentication login for selected fingerprint enabled devices. This feature now enable the users to directly login to the app using the fingerprint stored in the device and can get rid of MPIN authentication for general transactions.
Please Note the below things before activating Kotak Mahindra Fingerprint Authentication:
- You are the only person with fingerprints stored on the device.
- Activation fingerprint access means that any fingerprint saved on the device, or captured in future can access your Mobile banking App.
- Once enabled, you can login by placing your finger on the fingerprint sensor of the device. You may still required to give MPIN authentication for select transactions.
How to know whether your device support fingerprint authentication?
- Just go to the Playstore and update the app if any updates are available.
- Now open the app and it will automatically ask to activate Fingerprint Authentication if your device is in selected device list of Kotak which are eligible.
You can turn off or on the Fingerprint Authentication by going to more options Settings >> Fingerprint Authentication >> Login using Fingerprint authentication >> ON/OFF
